Okay...this is getting ridiculous.
So...I really dislike lizards. I won't say hate because I know they eat bugs and that is good, but lizards are EVERYWHERE!!! All the time. They get in our apartment (which is so so gross). There are two lizards who sit outside our front door and look at me as I try to run away from them every morning as I go to work.
I thought maybe they were on the decline for winter because I hadn't seen many the past few weeks. But I was wrong. One lizard wanted to make sure I knew they were still around.
On Saturday, as you know we went camera shopping, we also stopped at the mall to check it out. When we got out of the mall, into the car and driving down the road to another store I look over and on my window is a lizard!!! My brain wasn't able to register fast enough that it was on the outside of the car so I was yelling ( something...not sure...Brian maybe could remember). Brian here: Staci said nothing audible at first. A scream followed by "a lizard! A lizard! A LIZARD!" But because it was a small lizard and we were going down the road it was struggling to hold on so he crawled to a safer spot towards the mirror. So as I was yelling, I was able to grab my camera and capture this moment.

Then, we made it to Bed, Bath, and Beyond and Brian got out of the car to get the lizard off of the car so I would get out. But first we had to take pictures!
As Brian tried to flick the lizard off the car, it crawled up on the windshield and stared directly at me. So that is what is going on here.
Then after the stare down, Brian picked up the lizard and threw it down the parking lot. I thought it was gone. I WAS WRONG.
After shopping and returning to Best Buy for the camera we drove to Golden Corral. As we pulled into the parking lot I reach to the backseat to put the bag from Best Buy behind the seat. I grabbed a towel that was on the seat to put over the bag, as I did this I saw the same lizard underneath the towel! So...I again scream. But this time I was able to jump out of the car, leaving Brian confused. He then pulls the towel out of the seat real fast and sees the lizard fall/run to the floor of the car and what looked like under the seat. So, Brian looked for the lizard for a long time.
Brian here again: it's hard to look for something that is smaller than my pinky finger and hides well. It took awhile.
It was an unsuccessful search. We gave up for the time and went to eat. After eating, Brian searched again. He thought he saw it stuck under the seat and it was dead. We decided to go home and hope it was dead or would go away.
BUT NO!!!
On Sunday, I was on the phone (with mi madre) and going through the Best Buy bag with the new camera and accessories as Brian was in the kitchen. I went to pull out something and the lizard was on the package. I screamed and it JUMPED ON ME. I was screaming and jumped up. The lizard fell on the ground. Brian had no idea what was going on, but he figured it out and grabbed the lizard and killed it and threw it outside.
The lizard apparently ran into the bag in the car and stayed there the entire time. As Brian was searching the car, I was holding the bag with the lizard in it the whole time!
So now it is more than 24 hours later and it has not came back yet. Let's hope it stays away.
I do not like being stalked by a lizard.
